Have a reminder function for programmes

Adding a reminder for things like the News is really handy but you would not want to keep recording it!

Removing the reminder function from Sky Q is a retrograde step. I found it a very useful fuction and I'm sure many others did.I watch a lot of sport,, I want to watch it live not recording. When are Sky going to listen to its customes and reinstate it?

Couldn't agree with you more Edlo, you would think that by the amount of comments this subject has generated, Sky would indeed listen to its customers who, I might add, have a great deal to do with how successful Sky is, and pick up on comments made regarding the Reminder option. Another 'bone to pick' is with the Planner option which I am still searching for on my Sky Q 'upgrade'.

Recording and Reminders are completely different requirements. I want to set a reminder when I'm busy doing something else without having to record it!

A sad reflection on SKY's understanding of how we use our media and although it is something simple it wil make me consider whether to move to a different supplier when my contract ends,

Just had Sky Q installed and found that the reminder function is not available. We don't want to record all the programs we normally watch and view them at a later time/ date. We want to have a reminder of when a program is about to start and to be able to watch it in real time NOT having to record it and watch it later. PLEASE, PLEASE can you add a reminder function to Sky Q.

I keep getting alerts that people are posting how annoying it is that the reminder function isn't there but are Sky reading all our comments? And we are the people who looked it up then commented on the issue- so just the tip of the iceberg! 
the comments keep coming but no response from Sky! How do we make them aware of this and actually get them to change it. If it's due to a ratings issue, I don't mind if it records it when it reminds me it's starting. I can always delete it later. I am having to do the thing I want the telly to do- that is remember then stuff is on I want to watch. And upgrading to Q was not the better experience I thought it would be. AND I lost all my recordings. 👎👎👎👎

I used the reminder facility a lot on the HD box. If I wanted to record a programme then I’d use the record button. I want to watch things in real time so please enable a reminder function.

Hugely missed in our house ,I agree it's not everything you want to record .A reminder was really important for not missing Live Shows .

Hopefully Sky will add this facility on an update....... I don't always want to record, just a reminder that a programme I saw advertised  earlier is now on, then I can decide whether to watch or record for later.

New to Sky-Q, my last Sky venture was in the old analogue days!

The first thing I looked for was the reminder feature.  Seems it is no longer available given the preference for recording programmes.  I don't actually expect that the record features will get a lot of use due to not enough viewing time in a day.  I thought I would be clever and programmed a record thinking that something would flash up on the screen as a reminder to watch and then I could immediately delete the record.  Seems that didn't work.  I honestly wonder who thought that this feature wasn't now needed.  Disappointed to say the least.

Sometimes I want to watch a programme when it is on, so a reminder function will allow me to not worry about missing it.

Who ever had the idea to remove the 'reminder' option on Sky Q boxes needs sacking! This option needs putting back! I raised this problem about 2 years ago and nothing has been done. From reading on Sky community I can see many feel the same! Why aren't Sky listening to it's customers?!

Recently persuaded my parents to have sky and finding that you cannot set reminders is really annoying. They don't want to record everything, just set a reminder so they an see it on screen when watching something else. I was going to jump to Q but will see what else is missing first. Why remove useful features, please Sky let's have reminders back!
