Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Two frustrating things about the SkyQ box

No remind function - how hard is a software fix that most users USE

second is the design of the user interface- it's as though they have assumed people have got a new SMALLER tv as there is less information on the screen

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Station listing is so hard to read from any distance on SKY Q. Small white lettering on a pale blue background.

Sky Q was definitely not designed for my (older) generation. Bring back SKYHD!

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Please bring back the reminder option. We used it all of the time, as I have memory issues, and the prompts were so helpful. I was not told this was not available on Sky Q, and wish I  had stayed with the old format and box.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I really enjoy watching programmes when they are scheduled so would like this to be brought back. I am also worried I am going to miss programmes/new seasons in the future which were saved to automatically record on Sky + but I can't seem to find this feature in Sky Q either.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Reminder function is very useful. Especially when watching a programme and another starts which you want to watch.

I'm just going to come here each month and post another message, maybe one day they will add this very helpful feature!

Using Alexa to remind you to change channels. Well done Sky is this the modern way of integrating your technology with others?

After decades of loyalty I won't be renewing at the end of this contract. There is plenty of choice out there. Some listen to their customers too.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

Since joining this thread  after getting sky Q  I wish I  had never changed from HD+...  its so porely thought out the interface is rubbish , the program guide is so difficult to navigate...HD had 1 back button just cant fathom this one out ...AND  as i said earlier.where is the reminder button I want to watch not record  , my memory is not what it used to be  I kerp missing things ...I would not recommend it to anyone elderly just to clumsy to use ..its a good concept just porely applied and designed ...

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

@Shane43  I am having issues with my Alexa (3 years old) connecting to the Sky Q hub now....so no chance if her reminding me! Just waiting for Sky to come back to me on that. So I think the reminder function is what Sky Q users would really like on the next update......Sky, I hope you are taking note.....

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

A bit off topic but recently SKy and my VPN security aren't friendly anymore. When I use the link in the notification email everytime I get a message saying "I do not have permission to access this site from this server" going back to the email and trying again I get straight to the message. However If I try to login then I get the same message repeatedly. I can only login if I turn off my VPN security. I assume from this that despite not responding to anything in this Forum they look at comments and are tracking IP addresses.

Re: Have a reminder function for programmes

I too would like the option to set reminders - for live events it's very useful, and I like to know when a programme is about to start so I can decide whether to watch it then or record it for later.

Reminder function

Please bring back the Reminder function on Sky Q it's an absolute major downfall of upgrading to Sky Q!!  We want to be reminded of the program we want to watch!! I Do not want to keep recording the News every time I want to watch it!!!!  If I knew how much of a hassle it was going to be to continually having to go to my records to delete the news every single time!!!! I want to use the extra space for shows and films that I want to watch at a later date. Not record the news every single time I watch to find that all my recordings are of news rather than my shows and films!!!
