HLG HDR no longer works

I paid £50 for the HDR box as a replacement for my old Sky Q box which kept freezing. I’ve been able to watch films in HDR without a problem since, with HLG showing in the corner.

However, today I noticed that it’s stopped showing the HLG notification.

There has been no change to my setup at all and when I go to the picture settings, I can only choose 8 bit now.

I have a LG C9 and all my HDMI inputs have deep colour activated and all work with HDR with Xbox, PS5 and Apple TV.

I’ve tried using a different HDMI cable with Sky Q and the different HDMI ports but nothing fixes it.

What else can I try?

Hi @OMTT   Have you tried power rebooting everything, starting with the TV.

@OMTT if @MightyQuinn  suggestion doesn't work something else to try is rather than picking 8 or 10 bit try using the find it for me option

Another 2 options

 

Force "handshake"

 

  1.  Press 1 0 8 0 Home 
  2.  Settings>Setup>Audio Visual>Picture resolution>2160p>10 bit

Reset Sky Q Box

 

  1. Scroll down to Settings
  2. Press 0 0 1 OK
  3. Reset>Reset Settings>OK
  4. Power Cycle Reboot
  5. Re-pair remote - Hold 1 and 3 until remote blinks
  6. Settings>Setup>Audio Visual>Picture resolution>2160p>10 bit

Same issue here. I was all set and running fine in 10 bit, noticed yesterday that there was no HLG or HDR working. Box was still set to 10 bit, so tried rebooting, still no HLG.  Switched to 8bit, but now sky box will not go back into 10bit, just says TV is incompatible which is rubbish. Amazon firestick, and Zidoo media streamer all running fine through the same receiver as before, so something has gone wrong with sky not my setup or equipment. Seriously considering dumping sky as paying for a service that does not work
