More to the point, how do I actually ensure that all the practice, qualifying and race are all set to record in UHD when it starts.... I'm not home until the Sunday morning!

@Djsky I think you probably may  have a problem. 

I guess it might depend on whether you recorded last years sessions with a series link and whether that triggers automatically this season - it might but I suspect it might not. 

The problem is that we often found last year that the UHD content did not appear to be scheduled until just a few days before they were due to be aired.

Once you have a series link it seemed to work for all but obviously you need to be able to start it

going.

One thing that might help you is that all sessions seem to be linked i.e. P1 -> P2 ->P3 -> Q1 -> Q2 -> Q3 Race day (full coverage in UHD) - although personally I wish they were separate links i.e. P1 for Race 1 links to P1 for Race 2  etc - that way if you only wanted to record Race day coverage you could

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping.... but testing didn't automatically record, despite it being recorded last year and series linked.

I don't quite understand why sky don't have actual UHD channels and listings, that way we can schedule recordings in advance.

We show all the practice sessions, qualifying, and the races (inc. F2 & F3) in UHD but this doesn't include pre-season testing which is the same as last season.

Is that correct as Barhain there is no option to record in UHD? Only UHD for practice and qualifying?

@At++we+v+be+e typically the UHD links are only active a few days before  - I guess we will see a direct Link on Tuesday or Wenesday for Raceday

If you set Practice 1 (or any of the later sessions) to record  in UHD & set the series link it should carry through

BTW in case you don't know Race Day UHD is usually one long show unlike the HD versions that have  a pre-show, the race & post show all separate

Press home, go down to sports, then across to featured.... you should see f1 in uhd.

if not, then you may not have uhd package.... you might need multiroom in addition to the 2tb box.

@stebec if you are still having problems with the UHD feed check that your resolution has not changed. 

I know some people have had problems with the football in UHD to find that theor settings had reverted back to 1080

My picture resolution is set to 2160 UHD 10 bit, but the top right hand corner of the screen is still not showing UHD.

Im annoyed because we bought a brand new 73 inch LG TV just after Christmas and I can't get UHD F1

Sky do not always show the SkySprts F1 UHD logo in top right corner.

Press i on remote to get programme description and that will say if UHD or HD

If you read the numerous recent threads on this topic it will show you how to get 4k
