Download Failed and No internet connection

It would appear that many are having problems with Sky.  I stopped being able to download yesterday and today have connected Broadband about 8 times, have done all the self help guides and currently on hold to sky for 30+ minutes.  Everything else is working fine and wondering what is going on?
