Deleted sent email, will it still be sent?

I sent an important email which had some pictures attached to it. It successfully sent to the receiver but I accidentally deleted it from my "Sent" mail box. Does this mean the email doesn't get sent or is it simply just deleted from my account? I wish there was a way I could recover it too.

@LydonAV  If it was in the sent items it will have been sent, deleting it won't affect it.

Have you checked that the sent copy isn't now in your trash/bin folder, if it is you should be able to move it back to the sent one. If it isn't there then your only hope is that if the recipient replies that they do so including a copy on what you sent is in it.
