Connecting to new router

Hi I have recently changed internet provider and router from BT home hub to EE 4GEE , my problem with my sky is the connection from the main box to the new router. I have an ethernet cable running to it and I want the main box to use this but if I connect via ethernet it keeps resetting and connecting to wif. The connection to Internet 'tick" under status keeps dropping out and an "X" appears. I have disabble 5ghz on the router as I thought that might be causing the problem, but that did not solve it.

My question is can I dissable wifi on the sky main box and force it to use the ethernet and if so will my sky q mini boxes be able to form their "mesh" network and connect.

Any help much appreciated.

Thank you,

Nick

Hi @nsds2110

Afraid you cannot turn of the WiFi on the main Q box if you want minis to connect by WiFi.

All you can do is carry out a Network reset on the main Q box with the Ethernet connected.

Network Reset found in Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect wired to 3rdparty router and do not carry out any WPS.
