Children's channels

I'm paying for children's channels but my child can no longer watch looney tunes. What's happened to that channel?

Looney tunes is on Boomerang (603) but it doesn't look like it is on it all that much.

Are you trying to watch in HD when you don't subscribe to the HD package, if so can you access the SD version ?

Re: Children's channels

I've clocked on the red button and ut says I have to subscribe to HD tobwatch/download looney tunes. I used to have HD but cancelled it as we couldn't watch movies I downloaded as our TV wasn't compatible.

@Red73

What number are you trying to watch Boomerang on?

603? 641?

If on favourites, then it doesn't update it to the channel you can get if you don't have the right package and the favourites need to be changed.

On the downloads, automatic download is HD and should be changed in other formats to Sd

You can also set sd as default in the settings

Previous downloads in HD might not work anymore as you no longer have HD pack

What TV are you using? The last TV I saw that didn't do HD was a wdescreen tube TV and it flickered so much that it would give you a headache. Seriously, if your TV won't handle HD, then it;s going to be bad for your eyes. So get a new TV.

What is it with you and telling people to get things. First it was HD package and now a new TV. Some people are quite happy with SD viewing including my sister whose eyes are bad and wouldn't notice the difference to HD.

And as for standard definition being bad for your eyes, well that's just ridiculous. That would mean prior to HDTV, everyone watching telly had bad eyes..

You've obviously misread. A TV that won't do HD is most likely a tube TV that will be flickering and that's not good for your eyes.

Well I suppose a badly adjusted tube tv, if that's what the OP has, might conceivably give you a headache, but I doubt there's any evidence to suggest it would damage your eyes.

The last time I saw a tube TV, it was flickery. It was not badlyadjusted. It's just after seeing TV with no flickering for so long, the flickering of the tube TV was very noticable.

Even if that's the case, to suggest it would harm your eyes is fanciful.

It is possible to cause eye strain and headaches.
