Channel 4 catch up not updating content

Sky Q box is not updating the content in the channel 4 catch-up section. Today is the 7th of October and the most recent content shown under Catch Up\4 is the 26th of September? 

All other channels are working ok, as in I can catch up from sky channels from yesterday.

Any ideas as to what the problem is or how to fix it?

@SystemDC  As reported already within the forum it is due to the fire that took place over a week ago https://rxtvinfo.com/2021/slow-restoration-for-channel-4-and-5

 

So in short there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Not being funny, but a multi billion £££ company can't keep things updated due to one section caught fire.  Surely there should be back up and other areas to be able to do this.

 

Us sky customers especially the long serving ones ,pay alot of money for our subscriptions each month.

 

Not a valid excuse.  

 

you make loads of money each year so you can afford contingency plans to continuously provide a service we pay for.  If not then surely we can claim some money back as we are not getting a full service.

 

We pay top wack, so doesn't give you an excuse to scrimp and cut corners.

 

SORT IT OUT.... it's been nearly 2 weeks. NO EXCUSE!!!

Nothing for Sky to sort out, as you're already aware it is Red Bee who are responsible.  Sky have no responsibility for this issue.

 

You are right in that you would think a company like Red Bee might have had better backup processes.

I take it you haven't read the link that been posted earlier about what happened @dannya and how a company called  Red Bee Media is where you should be directing your anger. This has nothing whatsoever to do with Sky in the same way that the BBC had to swap broadcasting to Manchester due to the same fire related incident - again nothing to dowith Sky.

Does someone want to explain how we're watching Bake Off Ep.3 on All4 using an Amazon Firestick then, while the Sky guide still doesn't show Ep.2

 

Sky is **bleep** poor for stuff like this, and people are too quick to defend it... perhaps cos you don't want to admit we've not getting the service we pay a fortune for

@Victoria+87 no idea. But Sky aren't responsible for All4 content. By all means take it up with Channel 4, though.

@Victoria+87calm down as this is not Sky's fault. It is the fault of Red Bee Media who had a fire and Channel 4 is on a backup system that really needs updating. Nobody is defending Sky as there is nothing to defend. 

My question is why didn't you set a series link?

Channel 4 are currently unable to provide any content to Sky or VIrgin for their catch up services. The All4 app is still working but in a reduced way.

@xenon81 Where did you find out Channel 4 are unable to provide any content to Sky for catch-up? Is there a timescale for this returning and is this likely to be the same reason a lot of All4 content is missing or delayed on the Sky Glass?

According to this post in another thread, Channel 4's Catch-Up is now working again.

According to this post in another thread, Channel 4's Catch-Up is now working again.


It seems Channel 4's Catch-Up is not yet fully working. Go to the other thread and read what I put for more.
