Channel 4 adverts buffering

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help shed some light on an issue I'm facing when watching programmes on catch up from Channel 4...

As sky go now have seems to embed adverts into catch up programmes, but when I watch Channel 4 programmes all the adverts just freeze and seem to not been embedded or buffered into the playback of the programme so it makes it impossible to watch as I cannot skip them...

This issue doesn't happen when watching other  programmes from different channels -- for example Channel 5 adverts play fine.

Can anyone shed any light as to want the problem could be? Is it a sky issue with how they have embedded the adverts into the programmes?
Thanks!

Yes I've deleted the app and the installed several times... and it's on a MacBook Pro.

I just cannot understand why it only happens on Channel 4 -- it's driving me insane!

Did you do a complete uninstall:

Delete the Sky Go app.
Launch Finder, select Downloads then delete ‘SkyGoInstaller’.
Launch Finder again, select Go (at the top of the screen), then Computer.
Select Macintosh HD.
Go to Users > [yourusername] > Applications then delete the Sky Go app.
Then go to Library by Open Finder.
Click "Go" on the menu bar.
Press and hold the “option/alt” key.
Click the "Library" shortcut which appears.
Then navigate to the relevant folders (Application Support, Caches or Preference) and delete all SkyGo folders and files referencing Cisco player
Reboot your Mac and then download and install the Sky Go app again.

Re: Channel 4 adverts buffering

Yes I done that twice now in the past month and the same problem still exists!

I will try that again to see if can help, but if not what else do you think could be causing the issue?
thanks!

I haven't a clue what is causing it, so try emailing the apps team to see if they have any ideas - [email protected]
