I cancelled my Sky Glass a week ago. No sign of a refund yet (paid upfront). Sky installer came yesterday and discovered the flat's communal system hasn't been upgraded to cope with Sky Q so he took it away again and I cancelled that too. Just a £20 refund to come from that one.
I have my new 55" 4k HDR/UHD tv, a new fire cube and a monthly pass with BT Sports. Hopefully the system gets sorted out soon and I can get Sky Q but there is plenty HDR content to be going on with at the moment.

I've just received my refund (£874) this morning after cancelling on the 21st of Oct. It's been done in 2 payments so looks like they're having to do it manually. Given I've already completed a chargeback, that means they've paid me twice 🤣🤣🤣 (guess I'll have to call them 😞 )
I've still got Glass showing on my account which may indicates that it could be a while before they can sort that bit out.

UPDATE: My refund is in today just a week after cancelling.

For those receiving refunds: is it to your bank account, credit card or SKY account balance?

Mine was straight to the bank account that it came out of (£874).

Mine was into my bank. Two separate payments adding up to the full amount.

I'd imagine Sky's resources are going all out to on board as many Glass customers as they can. KPIs to meet and all that. Refunds for returned stuff, lower down the todo list. Perhaps if we can identify a trend in refunds getting faster we can determine whether Glass rollout has eased off 😉

I have been reading the threads regarding Sky Glass with interest. I have been looking to replace my tv, and was considering going with Glass. I currently have Sky Q and Apple TV. I think I feel myself erring towards a new tv, OLED. Once I have the new tv, that's a pretty final decision, as I doubt I will replace it again for at least 5 years.

I had the 55" Glass tv delivered on Monday 8/11/21 + 2 Pucks, set it up put The Chase into the Playlist, came to watch it & it was the Friday one, Monday's was nowhere to be seen, this was a deal breaker the wife said it's going back, not a patch on Q, I don't think the picture on the tv is that good, quite muddy
On Tuesday morning I rang Sky & cancelled Glass, got my Q subscription reinstated, also got a better deal, instead of £65 a month now £49, they're not collecting it until 23/11,
Glass still working though, I can add programs to the playlist & still view all the apps, the person I spoke to at Sky said it wouldn't work, we watch Q through the HDMI connection through Glass, I really wanted to,give it a go but the wife had other ideas
We've ordered a 55" Samsung Oled

@Simon+E Five years for a replacement doesn't fit in Sky's model where like your mobile phone they want you upgrading every 2 years. They used the mobile phone comparison in the big Glass launch. But why not give it a try and if you don't like it send it back as others are doing. You'l at least know whether it works for you. And as a bonus you'll likely get a discounted Q package when you swap back.
