Can I just upgrade to Sky Q without multiroom as I only own/watch on one TV in one room
Presumably I can use Sky Go on PC/smartphone as before. The £15 a month upgrade seems a bit steep just to go from Sky+HD to Sky Q. But the old box is now beginning to fail and have to keep resetting.

You can upgrade to Sky Q without taking multiroom and you can use Sky Go with this.

Certainly, but to get such an 'upgrade' at low or no up-front cost Multiscreen is usually required, so you may need to negotiate with Sky. The standard 'VIP Upgrade' offer bundles a Mini box and so the Multiscreen subscription supplement is added automatically.
