Calls about sky Q benefits
Hi,
We recently upgraded to sky Q, I have had several calls from 0800 number ending 597 9843 to discuss new features / benefits and freebies with sky Q.
The caller seems genuine, but the security request of full name and address seems a bit excessive as this is already known to Sky and they are calling me! Is this a genuine call or a scam?

Re: Calls about sky Q benefits
@just+to+obstruct To be sure you'd need to ring Sky. If you use 'who called me uk' website it suggests it may be Sky Protect but you're right to be cautious.

Re: Calls about sky Q benefits
As @Daniel0210 identifies, that's almost certainly a call to try and sell you Sky Protect insurance: it's unfortunately legitimate for them to use your contact details in this way because D&G licence their partnership with Sky, but I'd argue their sales tactics as scripted are downright misleading.
