Bad sky signal between 5.30 and 7pm

My sky gets very intermittent between 5.30 and up to 9pm at weekends , with warnings of no signal and to check my connection. Any other time of day it's fine which leads me to believe it's not anything at my end. This happened during the euro final which made the match unwatchable and during the film that is on itv on a Sunday night.

any ideas what's going on ?

It's not something at Sky's end as everybody would be affected, so it's an issue with your setup somewhere. It might be worth checking for birds sitting on the arm of the dish during those hours? Failing that, it's probably best to call Sky to book an engineer who will be able to investigate.

It's not a problem my end otherwise it wouldn't just be at certain times of a weekend , an hour ago I couldn't watch anything without it breaking up or losing signal and now it's fine. And I'm not paying for someone to come out and tell me my equipment is to old / in the wrong place / hasn't a clear path to satellite so they can con me into upgrading.
It's a broadcast issue not an equipment one

I had a similar problem a good few years ago now although mine was in the morning up to noon. I had an engineer out and while he wasn't sure what was causing it he changing the dish and cabling and the problem never returned.

It will not be a broadcast issue but you really do need someone how to look at your setup otherwise this will just continue.

How can it not be a problem your end?, the forum would be flooded with complaints if this happend to EVERYONE as everyone get the exact same signal from the satellites

Just call out someone and get it sorted

You can contact Sky using the number here (See the "Need more help?" dropdown near the bottom of the page)

@michele153   If, as you imply, the issue is at Skys end and is a Broadcast issue then do you not think that there would be thousands of posts all saying the same thing?  Satellite broadcasts cover the entire country and if they dropped or became unstable as you've described then it would affect millions of viewers not just 1 viewer in a tiny part of the UK.

Clearly it IS an issue your end, if you want to bury your head in the sand and do nothing then the issue will not resolve itself.  Balls in your court.
