two accounts with same email login

My wife and I had a very old original sky account.  We had email ( yahoo) and each lo in with our email addresses.

I have just rescubscribed for television and teh cust services created the new account using my email.

I now have two accounts with the same login and cant access the new account , my email takes me to the old one.   

I cant risk losing the old account and email, my life is embedded with it!   i need to change teh email on the new account, but i cant get to it.

any ideas???

@pkt56   As you left Sky and then returned after being away for a year then your account will have been closed as you have discovered so you will need to set up a new Sky ID.

If you want to use the same email address then you need to remove it from the old account first as this will then free it up allowing it to be used when setting your new ID up. You can do this by logging into the old account here:

https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details

Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

How long had you been away from Sky before subscribing, I take it you were away for more than a year ?

we had a subscription for 26 years , and cancelled the tv subscription part in 2014,  but the email accounts with sky.com domains are still live and always were .   We access the email from the sky,com home page with that login.   but sky have created a new account with the same email. and we cant access it.

we had a sky account for 26 years and cancelled the tv part in 2014.   the email remains live, and i access it using my sky.com email address from the sky homepage.    the new account is set up with he same email address and i cant access it.  every time i enter the email it takes to the old account

I think you are going to have to speak to Sky ID team about this to see if the can change the login details for this new account so I would give them a call tomorrow about this.
