the cost of sky

why am I paying £172 a month for sky, sport, cinima, 2 x mini boxes, netflix and broadband when Virgin are offering all this for £118

@shark1  It's likely your discounts have expired?   Have you called SKy to discuss your bills?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Are you in contract? If so, you agreed your subscription cost and were therefore presumably content with it.

 

If you're not in contract, call Sky to discuss a new deal

Sky distributes television by satellite and broadband over the Openreach copper and optical telecommunication network.  Virgin does both over its own private coaxial cable infrastructure which is nowhere near national coverage.

 

These are very different businesses models: it would be far more surprising if they were similarly priced.

 

Virgin will, if course, offer a generous discount to switchers, and then happily increase this at the end of the discounted term: that's what all such companies do.

Virgin were not in my area when I signed for sky and sky are offering no change..nothing
