switch credit
Hi all,
I have handed over all my details, including the final invoice from my previous provider. It looks like Sky are not happy with what I sent. Do they just do this on purpose and not pay new customers to join Sky?
See there response below
Hi shaun
Thank you for getting in touch.
I’ve reviewed the information provided so far, and it appears that the early termination charges are not currently reflected in the final bill attachment you received.
To help us process your refund request as quickly as possible, could you please provide the following documents:
- A copy of your final bill from your previous service provider, clearly showing an itemised breakdown of the early termination charges.
Once we receive these documents, we’ll be able to review your request and move forward with the refund process.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please let us know.
We look forward to receiving this information at your earliest convenience.
Kind Regards,
Sky Switch Credit

Re: switch credit
@Shaun-87 looks like the final bill from your old provider doesn't make clear what charges are early termination charges as opposed to normal service charges. Sky will only reimburse early termination charges, which is why they need to be shown separately on your bill.

@Shaun-87 its unfortunately a stupid game that all the providers play. They all know exactly how their competitors log early termination charges on a bill ( and very rarely will it be marked and worded exactly as an early termination fee), however usually a person is very easily able to look at a bill and clearly see what line item is an early termination fee even if it isn't quite worded that way. For example, Sky on their own bills doesn't label it as an "early termination fee", yet they expect their competitors to label it exactly that.
If there is a clear line item on the bill which is the early termination fee amount, i'd suggest arguing the case with Sky, perhaps if we had the previous bill as well showing what a "normal" bill looked like alongside the final bill with the extra line item on it, it may make you case easier that its clearly the early termination fee that is different between the bills.

@Shaun-87 Your image can't be approved as you've unwisely left personal details showing (your name & address) which would be gold for scammers to use.

Re: switch credit
That image shows as Unpaid.
You must provide a copy of the bill from your current provider where you have been charged the early termination fee and a copy of a statement showing that you have now paid it (specifically the early termination fees). You need to send this to Sky by email to [email protected]

Re: switch credit
@Shaun-87 Just in case you weren't aware (apologies if you were), Sky don't pay the bill for you. You still need to pay the bill, then Sky reimburse you.
