rip me off

i had a bill for  my sky and i was told it was£700,00 thay said i left early with my broadband i was not told this and i was told if i paid so much i could have my sky back on but is not i wasnot told my sky was up for new contrack has any had thesame thing

Your post is a little confusing so are you saying your services were restricted so you moved to another supplier, if so are you were in a contract then that is why you have been charged an early termination fee.

@alan47 sounds like you did not read the contract you agreed to when you bought a broadband or TV service. When you signed up you agreed to a 24 month fixed term contract if you left during that period the contract allows Sky to charge cancellation charges. See https://www.sky.com/help/articles/charges-for-ending-your-sky-contract-early

 

Legally it is your responsibility to read what you sign up for and Sky will have emailed you the contract. The contract allows a 31 day cooling off period and if the service is unsatisfactory Sky usually waive the charges if the customer complains and gives them a reasonable opportunity to sort the issue.
