No you can't use both at the same time and it's highly unlikely Sky have given you both boxes.  What does your order confirmation email say?

Re: confused

Thanks so very much suspected so I've been totally confused by the whole process and every time I ring him up I get a different answer to everything so I've now got a cube box and I've been sent to stream boxes as well/  consequently I didn't ring them again as I was my contract will be changed yet again and probably for the wrong deal I'm looking for. Oh well we have to just rather on thanks for your help

Re: confused

Would really like to find where I can get a black and white picture of what I have signed up to and at what price.  On Black Friday I clicked a deal for broadband and a TV package through Uswitch.  This click put me through to a sky operator who is clearly learner, took an hour and a half to complete.  Ever since I have been bundled from one operated to another ended up with the engineered turning up putting up an area and sticking in a Q box and advise me the only TV channels I could use were Freeview.  Considering I had asked for the package that included Netflix Sky Atlantic and Discover each channel I was a bit upset.  And now have all these different boxes and I'm waiting for a sky engineered to turn up on the 25th of November.  Today I have received a second Sky screening piece of equipment and an email telling me how to set up streaming.  Sadly I'm 84 years old and find it difficult to quickly understand fast talk and some of the modern digital gizmos.  I'm probably beyond help but any assistance would be great. Thanks in anticipation

@MarkSteed if you are able to take a picture of what boxes you have received from Sky and upload to this thread we may be able to tell you what Sky have sent you.

As you have signed up for a broadband and TV package I'd think that you have likely been sent is a Sky Stream Puck and broadband hub.

Re: confused

Would take a moment to get the boxes and a camera together.  However I can assure you that a Q box was brought and set up  earlier this week by an engineer who also put up a Sky aerial/dish.  I definitely had chosen a streaming product but despite this the aerial and Q box arrived.  I had to cancel and reado the contract because there was no TV package.  I have since received a streaming small box twice and as I say an email telling me to set up streaming.  The last talk that I had with what appeared to be a very competent agent did say I would get another engineer visit.  This agent mentioned a small box having to be fitted on the outside of the house...... Does that sound like I am going on to streaming do you think.  Trouble is the last email detailing contracts was definitely talking about sky q.  Let me know what you think please.  MARK  and thanks so much again

Something is definitely confusing here  because as far as I'm aware Sky don't do new customer offers for Sky Q anymore and all their deals would be for the streaming service only so I'm really confused how Sky ended up installing a satellite dish and giving you Q.

The work the agent was referring to about the box, sounds to me like the installation for full fibre broadband.

Re: confused

Hey thanks for your reply and help. When I think of it one of the guys at sky said that he thinks that I have more than one account by mistake somehow. That well may be the problem and I better get onto them and sort it out, otherwise I have two bills. Thanks very much, Mark
