Why is skys Customer Services so bad?

This form sums it up. It's a complaint about an engineer visit, today, between 12 and 5pm. We stayed in for the engineer. We got a text at 3:30 stating the engineer couldn't make it and they've rebooked us.
then we get a message to say ignore that booking and book on the Sky app. I'm buggered if I know where I'm meant to do that?
then you look for a number or email and are told it's an unmonitored email address -[removed]

I've no idea if I've got an engineer coming or not? I've no idea how to check? I've no idea what to do now. All I do know is that Sky has managed to lower my already super low expectations even further.

Re: Why is skys Customer Services so bad?

I was sent a message/email saying my engineer wouldn't be able to make it (despite taking a day off work for the visit, then I was given another appointment. Then I was told to ignore that appointment (though I couldn't call to check). Then I was given the job of rebooking the appointment through the app - I couldn't see where though?

now, I have this message:

It appears there's been an issue with your order

Please contact us to get your order back on track

it is either 8 or 9 clicks then to get to get a phone number to call someone - which is where I was nearly 2 weeks ago after over an hour going through cable changes, reboots and the works.

it's a sh#t show.

There's nothing booked. It's sky. They are useless.

I have now managed to get a call with them and have rebooked another visit - for the 18th Sept - which means I'll be without my service for over 3 weeks. It's an absolute shower of you know what.

it's a masterclass in incompetence.

Thanks for responding btw - the fact that you and not Sky responding sort of sums them up.

@KebabsAreGreat

The fact is the Community is made up predominantly of Sky customers helping other Sky customers so you shouldn't necessarily receive or expect to receive a response on here.

Hi @KebabsAreGreat   I'm afraid that Sky will never respond here. Please see Welcome below for information about this public community.

Re: Why is skys Customer Services so bad?

Sky cause a problem, then they leave it to the public to resolve them. I am sure you have worked it out, but I am so **bleep** about this. Their whole customer services system is a mess. I am trying to rebook the engineer visit, (they rebooked it for me then cancelled it using a do not reply email address - no other communication), meaning I have to try and rebook it. Thats nearly impossible, (I think I counted 8 button presses to speak to someone who then tells me I have to wait another 2 weeks. Its not my fault that sky isnt connecting, its either their software or their hardware - yet I am taking the brunt of the inconvenience. The app tells me that my system is fine. I look at messages and its tryign to sell my sky sports. I effing hate sky.

Before you ask, my wife likes the channel choices - thats the only reason we keep it. If she had to deal with all this **bleep**, I bet shed drop it too.
