Why dont Sky check returns statusvwith Unipart

Looking on community chats, it appears that it is common that customers who have posted back returns (sky Q boxes etc) are then emailed to say they have returned equipment and will be charged.

I have returned items 

Have evidence of the Post Office to NDC tracked delivery in March 2025

But, still getting emails stating I will be charged circa £200 at the end of April 2025 as I haven't returned the Sky equipment.

 

Why is it down to the customer to provide the evidence rather than Sky liaising with Unipart NDC as their logistics returns service supplier ?

Correction.... should have read .....

Indeed, the process could be a lot better. 

Unipart deal with returns and they are taking a number of weeks to process equipment at their warehouse. 

To see if they can help you I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later today. 

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.
