Updating subscription took full bill payment

My direct debit for the bill came out earlier today with no issues. I've just gone to upgrade my HBO Max subscription and instead of separately charging the subscription as it has always done, it's charged the full bill + the £5 subscription. Will I be able to get a refund for this double payment?

Hi @chrisb142

It might be worth checking the future payments section in billing and see if this is sitting as a credit on your account. You will need to ask sky for a refund (we are fellow customers here) but it can take them a while to process so may be easier to let it sit on your account and recover it next month (i.e. no / minimal payment should be required)

I thought HBO max app is charged separately by Sky Market place by debit/credit card payment  and not connected to your main Sky tv  account and payment and such not normally  included in your direct debit payment. As stated above direct debit are not taken on non working bank days like weekends or bank holidays, if due on on date that fulls on such they are taken on the next working day  which is  tomorrow ( Monday). I have various direct debit due today but my bank app say they being paid tomorrow. Therefore unless you bank that actually works on Sunday the direct debit could not have been paid today (Sunday)

@chrisb142  Direct Debits are never taken on weekends or Bank Holidays, marketplace payments are normally paid by card if you upgrade beyond the level included with your subscription.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
