We are having a nightmare, my husband has been on chat for 20 minutes after saying no to severla new offers including telling them that the broadband - which isnt with sky - is contracted for another 12 months and its faster than they have they still keep sending offers said no at least 5 times and now instead of cancelling the chat person has posted sating she is going on a 15 minute break and to answer all the questions
She was told immediately we didnt want any offers and no consideration sky box has been disconnected from fibre for a month now as we moved the TV.
Where do I complain, this should be unethical to try and make you give up cancelling and not leave

To cancel all your TV subscription, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.
Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.
If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.

It is out of contract that what I was trying to do - give the notice - all understood but being given many many offers for broadband we told them we did not want or need and several times please just asking them to cancel my account was outrageous - then to be told they were going on a 15 minute break - IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONVERSATION - where is the customer service - a 5 minute conversation which took an hour.
It is eventually sorted now and my 31 days notice is given, there has to be some regulation which prevents them/makes it really hard for customers to cancel an account/contract.
No incentive to come back soon for any of the services.

I saw a similar post yesterday. I don't think the staff have much say in when breaks are taken.
