Switch over from a different provider and credit

I have switched broadband from virgin to sky, I was told that the early charges will be paid by Sky, I assumed sky will automatically handle this from there end but I have received an email to say they will take the payment on a certain date. How do I get sky to pay the amount that was agreed?

@Star12

Sky doesn't pay early termination bills as you have to pay this with Virgin but what they will do is to credit your account to cover the charge once you provider then with the relevant documents.

This link explains what you need to do:

You must provide a copy of the bill from Virgin where you have been charged an early termination fee and a copy of a statement showing that you have paid it and send these to Sky via this email address - switching credit @sky.uk (all one word without the gap)

Switching to Sky Broadband? - We’ll credit you up to £200*
Switching to Sky TV? - We’ll credit you up to £100*
Switching to Sky TV & Broadband? - We’ll credit you up to £300*

Sky will credit you with up to £300 for switching; £200 for Broadband and £100 for TV.

You have to pay your final bill to Virgin and then provide proof to Sky who will credit your Sky account accordingly.

That cannot happen because Virgin isn't allowed to discuss the status of your account with another ISP

Unfortunately sales advisors from all the ISPs which offer such a scheme tend to imply things they shouldn't.
