Sorry We Had to Cancel Your Order

Hi guys,

 

I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on my current situation. I am trying to switch from Virgin Media to Sky, long story short I'd found a deal through a comparison site and then ordered it through the Sky website.

 

Got the confirmation emails and the engineer visit booked, everything looked sorted. Fast forward about 2 hours and I get the following email:


Thank you for choosing to join Sky.

Something wasn't quite right with the information you gave us, so unfortunately we can't process your application. We've cancelled the engineer's installation appointment that we scheduled for you.

If you have any questions, or would like more information, give us a call on

I rang the number, they couldn't tell me why it cancelled. I contacted Equifax and was told that everything is okay on their end i.e all information is up to date and correct. I have a high credit score, no late payments etc.

 

I don't know whether to try it again online in case it cancels again and then it looks worse when I try to join Sky again in future.

 

Is this a technical difficulty or a credit thing or what is the actual reasoning for this because given the fact Sky say they don't know why it's been cancelled and the Credit Reference Agency says it's all good, what on earth am I meant to do?
