Sky refund not paid

I left sky on 18/09/24. I was charged £46 for the following month. I was told by sky when I phoned last month that I would be refunded on 18/10/24. My sky account says I have £46 credit but I haven't had it paid back to me. How do I get my money that is owed to me?

Refunds can take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection providing the payment method is still active on your Sky account. If your payment method has been cancelled Sky will have to manually raise a cheque and post it to you so it’ll take longer.

If you wish we can help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky & their Messaging Team should contact you later.

You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.

Hi, 

I'm in the same position waiting for a refund after I cancelled in May. I spoke to an advisor last Friday & was on the phone over an hour to be told they had tried to send the credit back to my however were unable to! I have checked & my direct debit is still active so there is no reason on the bank not to accept it. The advisor said they would refund within the week however again it has not been sent. 
How do I get the credit amount back?

If you use social media then there are some links to Skys sites at the bottom of this page along with Facebook Messenger so it might be worth trying this.
