I pay £9.99 sky protect every month and don't even know what it's for

What services do you have from Sky as you have obviously taken out an insurance for whatever it is you have got.

Probably Sky Protect Device Insurance, because that's too low an amount to be for the Home & Contents insurance product.

 

£15pcm would cover Sky Television hardware, three additional AV devices and a mobile phone.
