Sky customer support And communications

Subject: Charged for unwanted extra Sky box despite repeatedly saying no

I’m writing to raise a serious complaint about being charged for additional services I never agreed to.

A Sky representative rang and asked if we needed an extra box. We clearly said no – we only have one television and do not require a second box. The representative pushed hard despite our refusal. I’m not sure whether the call was recorded.

Despite us saying no, a box was still sent out. We returned it promptly, yet Sky has billed us for it.

We later spoke to another Sky representative about these unauthorised charges. Communication was poor, but the representative said they would sort out the costs. This has not happened.

It feels as though Sky is adding unwanted services and charges without proper consent, and that customer service is more focused on selling extras than resolving genuine problems. We have been charged for something we explicitly refused and returned.

I would like these charges removed immediately and confirmation that no further unauthorised boxes or services will be added to our account.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with unwanted boxes or charges that were promised to be cancelled but weren’t?

Thank you.

@LGM123

You aren't making a complaint on here. If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community, which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.

You can make a complaint via the methods in this link.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/how-to-make-a-complaint

Sky will aim to resolve it in 10 days but really they have up to 6 weeks to resolve it or you can then request a deadlock letter potentially allowing you to take it further.
