Sky bill overpayment refund

My broadband is due to end on the 22nd of July, and my bill was due 19th, so I was charged £36 pounds for the three days that I will use sky. I'm expecting there to be a refund of this bill I paid. My direct debt is still active with sky, who do I need to contact to sort this out/escalate it. The robots on call are not very helpful

Nothing can be done until you have left Sky and when you have and you see the credit for the overpayment on your account then if you post back on here we can ask Sky's messaging team to contact you via a private message on here about this.

Your bill of 19/07 was generated on or about the 05/07 when you were still a customer. I believe you will be billed again on 19 August then the refund for the part overpayment could then take about 6 weeks to be refunded.

Have you actually cancelled or are switching?  The date you are referring to may well be your minimum term and your contract will simply continue at full price...

Re: Sky bill overpayment refund

- I've already spoken to sky and we agreed the contract would end on 22nd. So I don't expect anything otherwise

- I am cancelling and not moving my subscription. I am moving out of the country

- if sky expects me to pay on the 19th of August, to that I will say good luck getting that amount.
And yes sure I'll come back to the thread after my account ends. Hopefully can get it sorted then

A word of warning, if you cancel your payment method before any reimbursement is sorted Sky would normally post a cheque out but if you're moving overseas that won't happen.
