Sky are sending my 2 factor authentication code to a different mobile number

When I try to login to my Sky account, the two factor code is going to a different number.  It's not the number stored by Sky under My Account Details.  The bots are (as always, I don't know why companies use them) utterly useless.  I've already spent 6 hours over the past 3 days trying to speak with a human over a Sky Protect charge I didn't authorise and so I don't have time for another couple of hours on this.  

 

I just need someone at Sky to explain why the mobile number listed for me under My Account on Sky isn't getting the codes for logging in

@thisisp_sh the Verification Code doesn't go to the number shown under your account details. It goes to the number you specified when you set up 2 factor authentication.

 

Once you've input your mobile number during the setup process, a Verification Code is sent to that mobile number which you have to respond to before the setup process can complete.
