Sky are a joke

I upgraded sky at Xmas, the engineer came said he would put cinema free for 3 months, I said I didn't want it he still put it in, fast forward 3 month I cancelled it m, I then got charged for it, cancelled again got charged again, you guessed it cancelled again charge again, I have now resulted in cancelling my direct debit, but guess what they won't let you talk to anyone unless you pay,

hi @Abha

We strongly advise not to cancel direct debits.

This will leave you in debt to SKY and SKY often will pass that debt to debt collectors to deal with and is likely to affect your credit score as well as, as you have found, SKY will not allow contact until remedied.

Re: Sky are a joke

Worest company i have ever had to deal with. Your sky sports package is a joke a that price plus you carnt even cancel the subscription to it thats another joke seems like im getting scammed. Carnt even speak to any1 cause of the direct debit issue. Once my contact has ended I will never be getting sky again and will never recommend anyone signing a contact with this company.

To remove part of your TV package like Sky Sports you need to contact Sky giving the standard 31 days notice. If you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them because the discounts were provided on the understanding you’d be paying for the full period. Also make sure cancellation of a certain add-on doesn’t cancel another part of a discount.

You may be able to remove it via this link which includes a message option (usually available between 9am & 7.30pm) or by calling using the number that should appear.

What direct debit issue? You haven't previously mentioned one. Are your services actually restricted due to a missed payment?

Are you on mothley rollling contract or minimum term. If you on minimum term you cancel unless agree and you usually have to pay a  termination  fee. I would not cancel your direct debit because that will lead to lot of more problems. You won't be able to speak to Sky until the amount you is paid and new direct debit has been set you if you try you just get a message that you need to pay your bill. You definitely won't be able to cancel any thing. When you cancel somthing in  your package you should get a email from Sky telling you what is stoping and if you look in my Sky app under your product s it will give a end date for that product.i would contact Sky again and ask why your Sky  cinema is not being cancelled .  I presume you phoned Sky to cancel and not any other method.
