Signed up today

Hi I signed up today for sky stream ultimate. The agent said that I will avoid the April Price increase. But in my order confirmation it says the following products will be subject to price increase in April 2026. Sky ultimate £3 and Netflix Standard £2. Am I likely to avoid the price increase?

@Roger862 You probably won't avoid the increase, Sky give a 60 day protection if customers sign up close to annual increase but it usually kicks on shortly after the 60 day protection ends.

@Roger862

The annual price rise occurs in April for all UK customers. If you join or renew around that period the proposed increase is sometimes deferred for a few months and is then applied. It's kind of a grace period so you don't get hit by the price increase immediately. Your next proper price increase (we have to assume there will be one) will be in April 2027.

When  you activate the Sky Stream you should be able to view your bill via the MySky app or online here so going forward it should show you what you will be paying:

Re: Signed up today

Regardless of what any agent promises you on the phone here is what happens... If someone recently joins or renews (around January/February), the annual April increase is usually deferred for roughly 4 months but this is not a permanent avoidance, just a delay.

You'll definitely be paying the increased price after a few months
