Shocking
Due to illness, I have had to claim benefits for the first timee ever in my life. So in December 2025 my TV bill was £53.99 a month now it is £114.80 which will continue to go up until the contract runs out in Oct 2027.
I phoned Sky today, spoke with 33 different people, explaining my situation and the best they could do is to reduce it to £106.30 with a new 24 months contract.
I am utterly gobsmacked. I have been with Sky for over 10 years and that is how they treat loyal customers. If i was a new customer the cost would be less than a quarter of what I am paying now.
Can anyone help with how I can get out of this contract, ideally without having to pay fees, as I just haven't got the money.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Shocking
If you are in the minimum term of this contract then usually the only time the price would increase would be due to the annual price rise which is usually in April of each year so it shouldn't be increasing each and every month so when did you start this contract with Sky and how long was the term on it ?

Surely you've added stuff since then for the £60 increase? The only things I can think off offhand that have (say) 6 month discounts would be Sports or Cinema perhaps and they may be rolling monthly contracts so able to be removed with 31 days notice. You may want to look at removing any HD, UHD or Netflix add-ons and making sure that Disney+ ect are on the Ad supported free tier.
What platform are you on and does it include broadband?

Contracts are almost always of 24 months. If your contract expires in October 2027, you would therefore have agreed it in October 2025, so I don't understand the above.
The reality is, I'm afraid, when you agree a contract, you're committing to an offered deal for a fixed period. I don't know why, therefore, you're gobsmacked by Sky sticking to the deal you agreed.

Hi @Hanger Unfortunately contract law is very clear. I would have a look here Support with financial difficulty | Sky Help.
