SKy switch credit
My father recently switched from BT broadband to sky broadband. As part of exiting BT he was forced to pay £61 early termination fees for TNT sport which was billed through BT. Sky told him BT termination fees would be credited but their AI agents are now refusing it saying its only Broadband termination charges that are refundable. As an aside hes been a SKY Tv customer since days of BSkyB. Anyone know if this is correct or how you speak to a human being at SKy to get this resolved

@Wembley71
If you are new to the forum then welcome to the Community, which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.
Your father, the customer pays the early termination fees and Sky subsequently reimburses him by way of a credit being added to his Sky account.
Sky will credit back up to £200 for broadband and up to £100 for TV (but then again he's already a Sky TV customer).
Please read below about Sky switching credit...
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-credit-offer
He must provide a copy of the bill from his previous provider where he has been charged the early termination fee and a copy of a statement showing that he has now paid it (specifically the early termination fees). He needs to send this to Sky by email to [email protected]

Re: SKy switch credit
I'm not sure that ETC for TNT would be covered by the switching credit... (As it's not an ETC for the broadband itself)

I presume your father had TNT sport though BT as BT broadband customer and viewed on your sky box..
As far as Iban aware the provision of getting TNT sport though BT this way is that you have to have 24 month minimum term broadband with them and then I believe TNT sports is add to you account. However if you cancel your BT broadband with bt as you have done, and there is termination fee that will be on your broadband because your father has cancelled with in your fathers minimum term. BT wil not charge your father a termination fee on his TNT sport subscription because that is on monthly basis not on minimum term and your father should be able cancel that subscription by giving BT a months notice.
Therefore this being the case your father should clarify that situation with BT and if the £60 termination fee is on your fathers BT broadband contact as I believe it is, your father could get that reimbursed by Sky for switching to there broaband,
