Retention?

Sky Plat 14 years

Sky Ultimate

Sky glass TV with 1 puck (whole home)

Cinema

Atmos and HDR

Netflix Premium

Price at end of term went to £98, called to cancel, their amazing retention offer of £12 less a month was £86.  I cancelled.  I'd rather use my Glass TV as to watch Netflix/Youtube than give these thieves £86 a month.  Sky's customer renention used to mean something,

Do you have a question?

Otherwise, if you can't agree an acceptable price then leave as you did...

Re: Retention?

This is a forum, not a Q+A only one. Am I required to only post questions or am I not allowed to simply post a critical observation?

Yes, I am leaving as I said.  But thanks for telling me to do what I've already done. Helpful.

@adsuk1987 the price charged at the end of a contractual minimum term reverts to the standard list price as explained in the contract which you freely signed up to. Where's the theft?

Re: Retention?

The theft, which you obviously knew was a term I used not literally, but rather descriptively, is the astronomical price hikes, the lack of discounts to reward loyalty and the total policy change within Sky that moved away from the deep discounts of the past.

Clearly, plummeting customer numbers have led to this, as savvy consumers wake up to the overpriced product and service (or lack of service) that Sky has to offer.

Ah, TrustPilot - the 'review' site for the aggrieved.

I've used 1 star reviews many times to get attention from companies.  😁

Yes, you're right. None of that is theft.
