Registering my wife as blind entitles the .account payment to be subsidised. Refund of Sky Cinema.

I was looking into the monthly account charges when I noticed we are being charged for Sky Cinema, that  we did not know about, never wanted, never asked for, so a refund is wanted going back to the start of that.

I also noticed in sky literature thst customers that are visualy impaired are entitled to a subsidised charge. It should go back to 7/ 1/2021.

Contacting Sky directly seems a long winded awkward affair.

Any help appreciated. Thanks, Tony.

I'm not aware of any such provision from Sky.  Are you perhaps referring to the Television Licence scheme?

@Tonk5

At some point you would have agreed to it. Perhaps it was a prerequisite to another discount. You would have to contact Sky to cancel Sky Cinema giving the 31 days notice if you are now out of the discounted period.

@Tonk5  If Sky Cinema is on your subscription it must have been requested by the account holder otherwise it would not be there, you won't get any refund for this going back to the start of it that is just unrealistic on your part.

Sky will also wonder why it took 3 years to notice this?

You will need to cancel movies to remove it from your subs.

Whenever some sign up to Sky they would have received email confirmation of any channels they subscribed to, if there were any free trials to channel these would have needed to be cancelled before billing for them commenced.

Registering with the accessibility team provides the services listed here Accessibility information and registration | Sky Help | Sky.com | Sky Help | Sky.com

There is no mention of a reduction in subsscription costs.

@Tonk5

And since 2021 you will have renegotiated your discounts at least once.
