Refund

I cancelled my subscription in October,sky took a payment in November I was told I would receive a refund? How long does this take, hen will I recieve my refund?

If your payment method is still active on your Sky account refunds usually take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection. If your payment method has been cancelled Sky will have to manually raise a cheque (usually involving a back office team) and post it to you so it’ll take longer.

If you wish we can try to help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do but please confirm in your reply it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account.

Its been 6 weeks a payment method is still active, I tried messaging but chats are not working

We're not being awkward, the Messaging Team can't help you unless it's showing as a credit so we need that confirmation.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you (most likely tomorrow now).

Look out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.

I have to say I expected better from Sky overall. Their sales is great but their admin not so.

YOU must chase them regularly because they don't communicate very well. DO NOT RELY ON THEM.
I had a trial in October.
They took their money out one day at the end of the month fast enough.

I cancelled the trial a few days later and was told to return the stream boxes then the refund would be processed.

"Dont cancel the direct debit" because that would be used to refund it..

They sent inappropriate packaging but I packaged and tracked the box.
I never got confirmation that they had received the box so I began the chase. Eventually I was told that they had got it. 

I expected the refund via direct debit at the end of last month. Sky Failed.

I rang twice more and one guy finally processed it manually.  
Its just hit my account today. 
Just reading the posts on skystream. Im glad I left.
