Refer a friend

I successfully referred a friend in January and received the email confirming as much. It has now been over 45 days since my friend paid her first bill. and neither of us have received out voucher. As per the instructions on the refer a friend page, I sent an email to the refer a friend address. They asked me for account details of both myself and my friend. Fine.

Two hours later I received an AI slop-style message asking me to check that my voucher wasn't in junk, plus the usual clear caches etc etc info.

I replied to say I'd done that.

Two hours later I received exactly the same AI nonsense message!

So, my question is ...is there any way of speaking to an actual human being regarding the refer a friend offer. What's the best way of ensuring that I receive my voucher?

Thanks

Re: Refer a friend

The information there is just aping the emails I received.

That's not getting me any further. I'd rather speak to a human being or at least get a human being to look at my emails.

Hi @siday389999   So you sent an email to the problem email address shown, and you didn't get a useful reply? You cannot speak to a Sky advisor via a public community forum. Please see Welcome below.

Re: Refer a friend

Yes. That is correct, please see my original post. All I'm looking for is a straightforward answer to a simple query. But instead I just get emailed AI slop from Sky.

How can I get a human being to look at my Refer a friend issue and send me the voucher I have qualified for?

Re: Refer a friend

There's been posts on here suggesting you have wait 45 to 120 days.

Re: Refer a friend

The email I received told me that I'd receive my voucher 'via email within 45 days'.

That timeframe has now passed, hence why I'm looking to speak to a member of staff about it.

Re: Refer a friend

What's the best number to call on? All I can see on the website are the general numbers that lead to endless menus and massive waits.

@siday389999 calls to any published number go to Sky Customer Services and are initially handled by their interactive voice response system.

Re: Refer a friend

geez, this is a painful process. I stupidly assumed that once I'd followed the correct steps and received a confirmation email from Sky, they would complete the basic task of sending me my voucher when it was due.

But obviosuly not.

Thanks for your help everyone, I think I'll have to go through the complaints process.
