Did your friend sign up to Sky via the link you gave them and if they did have they paid their first two bills yet ?

To give you a rough idea of a timeline…

 

I referred my son in November

 

His Broadband was activated on 17 December 

 

His first bill was on 31 December 

 

We both received our e-gift cards via email on 27 January

 

(and I spent mine yesterday 😀).

Yes they've been with sky a long time now. When I signed up back in October/ November I can't remember. I bought broadband & a sim only but it would only accept one item so customer service told me to contact you
