Recontracted

I phoned sky to talk about my bill, the lady on the phone ended up getting me ultra HD for 2 months for free, now my new bill has gone up as she recontracted sky movies for me without my consent, that is a breach of contract.

@Scott233

Did you ask to cancel Sky Cinema during the call?

Re: Recontracted

Hi, no I didn't, neither did I talk about my movies subscription, I was contracted to movies, but the guy on live chat today  stated I'd been recontracted so my bill has gone up as a result.

Do you mind me asking what billing issue you initially called about?

Re: Recontracted

Hi, my direct debit failed and I was restricted, I called them to reinstate my services with a promise to pay, which is now paid, on the phone the lady said "would you like ultra HD for free for 2 months then £6 after, with a cancel anytime" I said OK then, now my bill has gone up as sky movies was recontracted without my consent.

@Scott233

I'm very surprised at that as normally you can't get through on the phone if services are restricted and Sky don't accept promises to pay on live accounts.

I'm not sure why Sky Cinema went up if recontracted. You may wish to contact Sky again as we obviously can't see your bills.

Hi @Scott233   To be clear, if they "re contracted " Sky Cinema then that implies you had it already? Or do you mean that they added it?

Re: Recontracted

I already had sky movies, but my new bill has gone up, as the guy said today, it was recontracted, but without my consent

Sorry, deleted. I misunderstood. I would cancel the changes (including the free UHD for two months) while still in the cooling off period.

@Scott233

I think what you mean is that your already contracted Sky Cinema is now extended to be contracted for a further 24 months now?

That sometimes happens when changes are made to your account. You'll need to contact Sky if you wish to dispute it.

Re: Recontracted

Thanks guys, I've cancelled the UHD as I don't really need it, I'm gonna call sky tomorrow and try and clear it up.
