Promotional Emails
Hello [removed]
Does this sound like my broadband is out of contract? Apparently not, not until next August 2026.
Also offering me a £6 to lock in for another 24 months what planet are their marketing teams on??
The confusing message did encourage me to look at alternatives and found BRSK are offering a 500mbs speed for £30 (I'm paying £32 for a max 60mbs)

Re: Promotional Emails
Are you certain the email was from Sky? Did it begin by addressing you by your forename or was it "Dear Customer"?
Any prices you see with alternative providers will be new customer prices. You're not a new customer of Sky so it's always likely to be higher.

Re: Promotional Emails
Sky are known to send emails out like that but unless @Creature0fhabit posts back on here answering the question from @Daniel0210 nobody here can say for sure if this email was from Sky.

Re: Promotional Emails
It was legit - From Sky(a)notifications.contact.sky
No phishy links just asking me to sign in to my account to take up this lovely offer of spending £6 per month for the same service.
I did contact customer service to confirm a) yes they sent it but it shouldn't have said my services were coming to an end b) to offer me a better deal but still locking me in for a further 24 months.
I've declined and will wait until closer to the time to see if BRSK are still competitive.
