Just wanted to see if anyone else had noticed the following or had an explanation.
My Sky TV and Broadband contract is due to expire in Septemer 2023 so now when I click on the "see future bills" tab on my account, I can see that the overall price of my package will be going up by £3 per month from September if I don't do anything. This is based on looking at the future bills for the next 3 months.
However, when I click the option to renew my contract for another 18 months this quotes a higher price than the "out of contract price". It's about £9 per month higher and when I spoke to the Sky helpdesk they didn't really offer an explantion for this that made sense.
Has anyone else had this when their contract ends as it seems stupid that I'd be punished for renewing by paying a higher price. Also, I'd like to think they'd match my current price if I do renew the contract but the adviser I spoke to didn't seem to have the "power" to do this and was clearly just reading off a deal sheet or something similar.
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt is possible that although there is a £3 increase that this price is also discounted when compared to what will be the usual price of your package. Sky are known to give customers a second discount without them having to do anything so you might be sent an email neater September explaining that this is what they are doing,
