Paying more than newcomers

I have been with sky 21 years, my sky ultimate is £37 a month, my daughter just moved out and her sky is £24 a month. I understand introductory offers but £13 difference is a bit unfair

Its the norm now. New customers are offered good discounts as an incentive to join. Most companies do this now. You probably took advantage of such a new customer deal when you first joined Sky.

If you can't negotiate an acceptable price for renewing then perhaps consider a move to an alternative provider, but when that deal nears its end you'll be in the same position with them, and will be able to rejoin Sky if you wish and take up any new customer deals available at that time.

Comcast do appear to prioritise getting new customers over retaining long standing ones. As other providers do this too it seems to be a common theme.

Time now to call Sky to see if they will offer you anything, if they you do need to make your mind while on the call and it will mean starting a new contract.
