I'd either check the status at Sky.com/ordertracking and also phone Sky for confirmation over what is going on. Depending what service or product you ordered it's quite possible you got the initial order email and then the order was subsequently cancelled due to a failed credit check or something like that.
ultimately no one on a public forum will know the answer all we can do is speculate and suggest what might be going on. so phoning Sky will be the only way to get the accurate answer
You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.
If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number. If you are in the ROI on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

I agree. I presume you're talking mobile here so there's every possibility you failed the required credit check(s). For a sim only deal there is a soft credit check. For a device as well Sky do carry out a second, more thorough check. Also, emails confirming or cancelling the order sometimes arrive out of sequence like in your case. See this link for Skys guidance ~

Be aware that if you keep trying to order the device this could further impact your credit score. If you contact Sky they would be able to confirm that’s the reason your order was cancelled but not why you failed the credit check in the first place as they are not allowed to view your credit record.
Any initial payment you’ve made should hopefully be refunded after about 14 days.
