Old Existing Sky Account Issues.
I was with Sky until a few years ago & I'm thinking of rejoining for a broadband & digital phine package.
However, I need to speak to someone but when I phone a message tells me my phone number doesn't link to my account which of course it won't.
I'm signed into my account & I tried to access my details to update my details but I just get a blank screen apart from the header.
This is not a good way for Sky to convince me I should rejoin.

@Mark39 Thanks for your reply.
My BT contract expires on the 5th November so I wanted to know when I should apply to subscribe to Sky if I do decide to.
If I do subscribe will I get a new account to replace the one I had year ago but which stil seems to be active.

Two weeks notice is required to join Sky although it can take longer than that due the availability of an Openreach engineer.
You will have a new Sky account when rejoining so when you do rejoin you can't use your old Sky ID as that will have been closed so you would need to create a new one. If you want to use the same email address it will need removing from your old account first.

@Caravanj a couple of things to add:
1. If you're joining Sky for a full fibre broadband service, and you don't have full fibre with BT at the moment, it may take considerably longer than the usual 2 weeks for your Sky service to be up and running
2. If the phone you're currently using is designed to work with BT's Digita. Voice service, it won't be compatible with Sky's landline service and will need to be replaced.

Trying to access my old account details online to make amendents or delete it was was my first stumbling block & my attempt to phone was blocked because my phone numbers are the one's that are linked to my old account.

Thanks for your help.
I already have FTTP & all my phones are the ones I had connected to the old copper landline. I connected the BT hub to the master socket which made all the telephone sockets live.

I've subscribed to a Sky Broadband 900Mbps + unlimited Sky Talk package & it will be activated on the 4th November.
BT have confirmed that my existing phone number has been requested & I've confirmed that I requested the transfer.
When I receive the Sky Max Router I'll get it set up in readiness for the 4th November so on that day it'll be a matter of plugging in the ONT CAT cable & the phone cable into the Sky Max router.
That's the theory. 😁
