No customer retention how do sky survice

Been stuck on the phone for nearly 2 hours that I will never get back

we have sky business broadband, sky TV, 4 mobile phones & galaxy tablet all with sky.

Now out of contract on the business broadband, so rang about renewing  and that we would renew if we can have the upgraded router, ours is now a few years old and tech has moved on.

to be told no all we can do is give you some money off, oh and the discount I have just offer will be partially wiped out as we are putting our prices up, now here is the catch

If I cancel my account and then do a new customer account and get the latest deal and all new equipment, I would save money and they can then keep my business.

However, sky cannot port our landline phone number over to another new account, this is the number we use for business calls for more than 10 years

my gut feeling is they can do it but why would they when they have you to ransom, honestly who would want to change their phone number due to the incompetence of sky.

looks like it will have to be a new provider and they will port my phone number over and pay me for doing it

lost the plot with this now and will have to move everything to a new provider

But you wouldn't be a 'new customer'...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Presumably, then, you were prepared for the consequences when Sky said no.

prepared?

sky are obviously prepared to lose customers, they spend more money trying to get new customers than looking after the ones theyalready have

Presumably you were perfectly OK woth your New Customer Discount at the time you joined while long standing customers didn't get such discounts?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

seems you go to air your concerns and everyone is 'pro sky'

clearly happy paying for a bad service and no loyalty

@sky_mare Like most companies Sky are looking to be more environmentally friendly and as part of that they will continue to use current working equipment instead of just replacing it when customer request new.

If your not happy with Sky's stance on the equipment or their inability to move your business number to a "new" account then you may need to look elsewhere, it may well be that there is no provision for moving a business registered number to a residential account, i know when i was self employed the company that supplied my phone and broadband could'nt do that when i closed down the business as there was no mechanism for doing so.

Re: No customer retention how do sky survice
