Hi

just bought this:

sky tv:

sky stream puck

sky ultimate tv-sky entertainment with netflix

sky broadband and talk:

Sky broadband superfast

 sky pay as you talk

sky line rental

im new to this so please bare with me, im assuming the  stream puck is a version of a tv box? And do i need to install the landline? I dont have a telephone but it worked out cheaper to get this deal im so confused theres an engineer coming to install the broadband and the telephone thing but can i contact sky or something and tell them not to install the landline as the telephone wont be used, also how do sky install broadband? Is it like virging when they have to drill into the wall ? 🙄

You will need broadband installed for you to be able to watch TV as you have ordered Sky Stream on which the pictures are delivered via your broadband connection and not a dish.

@Carla143 broadband is delivered via your landline, so you need a physical landline to be installed, but there's no extra charge for the landline, providing you don't make any calls, as you have the Pay as you Talk package.

Yes, you're right on both. For Sky Stream you'll have a Sky Stream 'Puck'. For broadband you'll have a Sky Broadband Hub.

Sky stream is a small box that connects to your TV. 

When you have any broadband service you get a router which is what traditionally plugs into your master phone socket . The router creates your wireless network in your house which allows all your devices to connect to it and use the internet.
