New customer - need to change installation date

I am a new customer for broadband and TV. An engineer was coming to connect me on 13 August. My VM contract expires on 26 August so I want the engineer to come on 26 August. If I'm connected any earlier I will have to pay VM a disconnection fee. I went through the process online and was giving 14 August - still not what I wanted. How can I change the date?

Re: New customer - need to change installation date

The issue about changing the date for the first visit from an engineer is this: Out Reach, who do the visit, only give Sky a few weeks in advance of their schedule. (This seems fair.) I couldn't change the date because the date wasn't available yet.

Can I just add two points: 1. I phoned the Customer Support number and a friendly person figured this out for me. My current provider never lets us talk to a human. 2. A short sentence on Sky's web page explaining how far ahead a visit can be booked would help.

Thank you so much for your support.

You could try here:

Or by calling Sky.

Sky will potentially credit that disconnection fee: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-credit-offer

(Might be easier than moving dates - they are subject to engineer availability of course)
