I'd suggest phoning again in a few days and see if you can get a different offer. What you will likely find is that different reps will have access to different deals/discounts. Some companies will allow each rep a certain amount of discounts they can give over a period, other companies do a similar approach but at a wider product/sales team level rather than individual reps.
