New contract, wrong price in app

My broadband deal at £30/month was ending. I agreed a new deal  at £28/month with new equipment and made sure I got confirmation of price via email. BUT ....... the deal has never been correctly applied in App despite 5 or 6 phone calls. Like others I've read about in this forum have experienced,  promises have been made ('this will update after 2 or 3 days') but it's still showing £44. I am staggered by the incompetence of Sky Customer Sces. Will this self correct or do I need to walk away from the deal? I'm supposedly a VIP customer of 12 years for what it's worth!

Has the contract end of term date changed on your bill? If not then it simply hasn't been enacted, any changes I've ever made on Sky has been instant, not in a few days so I suspect there may be nothing for you 'to walk away from' in the first place.

Re: New contract, wrong price in app

I have an email from Sky confirming my new contract start date (28/8) @£28 for 18 months. The last person I spoke to (Prajwana) gave me a ref no and assured me I would not be charged £44/month as I sent a photo of this email.  She's going to phone me 'before Sunday' to make sure it's been done. I won't be holding my breath. But still no change in App! I'm beyond frustrated with them - why do we have to put up with this incompetence? !!

There hasn't been 18 month contracts in the UK for a couple of years now, they're all 24 month subs.

Re: New contract, wrong price in app

  • I've just phoned a sky complaints number and spoke to a really helpful lady who has sorted this out immediately.

My new contract details are already showing in the App. Whoop whoop!!

As it should have been in the first place as far as I'm aware, have you checked the contract length? Has to be 24 months I'd have thought.
